Falling Apart

I'm a firm beleiver in continuity. And well my fellow Seahawks, we are blowing ours apart. I was OK with Jim Zorn leaving, Actually happy about our future Headman Jim Mora coming from in-house. Ahh but if that could have been where it stopped. But we have lost many high personality players and coaches. Some captains and some just loved by other players and fans. When we discuss say Alexander Leaving us. I don't wish him to stay soley based on my hope he does better this year. Yes theres some loyalty bias but in actuallity it's because we can't keep losing players that have been sold on this team sticking together concept. I'm telling you what if Alexander isn't here after the public promises from the brass. It will fester in our locker room. This team has been built on the concept Holmgren instilled that if you do all you can for the organization (Give it your all) the organization will do all it can for you. Basically Team Trust. I think the team as a whole can write off the Josh Brown departure as his own doing. But the Alexander Issue is a hot potato.

Falling ApartHavok I know your feelings on this one. But we are becoming the victims of our own success. Look at the Patriots and how teams prey on their free agents and coaching staffs whenever they become available. Look at last year the 49ers gave a big time money to Tulla Banta-Cain... Who might you ask? A special teams role player on the Patriots who did nothing in his move over to the 49ers. The loss of Jim Zorn will hurt since I wouldve enjoyed seeing him become our offensive cordiator after Holmgren leaves since I have a feeling when Holmgren goes a large part of his staff will leave as well. I hope not though since we need that continuity like you said and need to keep as much of our staff around as we can. The team will view Josh Brown as a guy who took the money and ran but like you said Holmgren and Ruskell have said in the past few months that he will be staying with the team so to cut him outright now would not look good for our management. This just hurts though now since we might lose the guy who we made sure we signed instead of Steve Hutchins |
